Early results for this week's editions (Aug. 25) show a distinct lack of interest in (and respect for?) Bernie Mac, who died at the age of 50 on Saturday, Aug. 9. The comedian and actor's untimely death from complications from pneumonia merited just a small-sized interior picture in Us Weekly, and a preliminary look shows he didn't make the cover of OK. A more thorough examination in the coming days will tell us if and how he may have been included inside the magazine.Granted, it's possible that the tight publication deadlines made it impossible for the weekly mags to cover Bernie any more extensively this week. If, however, he doesn't get more play next week, then we'll know they just weren't interested.
